Publisher review:LDL computes a sparse LDL' factorization, using less memory than R=chol(A). LDL is a small package for computing the sparse LDL' factorization of a real sparse symmetric matrix. The matrix need not be positive definite. No 2-by-2 pivoting is performed, however, so it will not be able to factorize all full-rank symmetric indefinite matrices.L is unit diagonal, but the diagonal is *NOT* returned. This is slightly different than chol. A must be sparse, square, and real. Can also compute x=A when A is symmetric and has an L*D*L' factorization with a diagonal D.
Includes the AMD (approx. minimum degree) ordering package.Works on MATLAB 6.1 through to the current version of MATLAB, both 32-bit and 64-bit. Requirements: ยท MATLAB Release: R2007a
